Oncologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Physicians who inspect, diagnose, and treat cancerous tumors are known as oncologists. Medical oncologists use chemotherapeutic or medical methods to treat cancer. They may be specialists in the field of medical oncology, gynecological oncology, pediatric oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, or hematology.

Salary: Median— $257,000 annually

Education: Candidates who wish to become oncologists must first obtain their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited 4-year medical school and then undertake specialized training.


Reflection: I would like to work as an oncologist. I think it’s a really good job. I would feel proud to go to work and help them fight this problem.
